A Word from Idahope's Founders

Hello, hopefuls:    It’s hard to believe we launched one week ago. Idahope arose out of a recognition that amazing people are doing incredible work to help where help is needed in Idaho. We believe that by increasing awareness and connecting people who care with communities and causes in need of support, we can also cultivate hope.  Since our launch, there has been much excitement around bringing the hopeful together. We were so excited to begin work with our first three partners-in-hope: Boise Bicycle Project, City of Good, and Treefort Community Fund, and we can’t wait to share more with you about each of them. Today, we want to take a moment to highlight our newest partner-in-hope: Inclusive Idaho. They are cultivating hope in the Idaho community by bringing awareness to systemic injustice facing Black individuals and communities. The organizers act with hope, believing that if we work together, across lines of difference, we can create a world in which Black Lives Matter. Last week, the organizers of Inclusive Idaho brought together an estimated 6,000 people to participate in a vigil following the brutal murder of George Floyd. Idahope stands in solidarity with Inclusive Idaho and those fighting against racial injustice. We believe now, more than ever, we must act collectively and with hope to bring about a more just world. May we find ways to cultivate hope by committing to take antiracist actions in our community.  With hope,  Jenn and Levi

The vigil held last week in Boise was incredibly moving and powerful. We send endless thanks to the organizers of the vigil, and or new Partner-in-Hope, Inclusive Idaho, for their hard work in organizing this large event.

This powerful image of the event was shared by Jimmy Hallyburton, Boise City Council member and Founder of Boise Bicycle Project, one of our current partners-in-hope! We’re so proud to be supporting and the uplifting work they do.
